President and Operations Manager

Leon Dowden has been the president of Glovertown Shipyard Ltd. since 2010 and as Operations Manager, is responsible for overseeing the manufacturing activities of the company. With over 15 years of supervisory experience at Glovertown Shipyards Ltd. and working with individuals that have 40+ years of experience, he has overseen the completion of many large scale projects. As both president and operations manager, it is Leon’s responsibility to ensure that all vessel construction conforms to the Quality Management System as well as CWB welding standards. GSL’s continuing success and recognition within the shipbuilding industry as a supplier of quality vessels is attributed to the attention and commitment that Leon maintains at the company. The work the company undertakes and the dedicated workforce shares this same level of commitment to quality workmanship.
